After running ScanDisk, which truncated several files due to
errors found, my Sent Items DBX file is now corrupt/truncated. Selecting the folder in OE shows an empty folder. But, I know most of the emails are still there except the last day or so worth of emails. What's the best way to recover some of the emails in the corrupted/truncated DBX file? |

The messages aren't likely there anymore. If OE detected corruption in the
file it likely wiped it of its contents. You can check the Recycle bin for bak files and see if the sent items is there and recover it that way if it is (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2), but otherwise I think your only chance of recovery is DBXpress (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/), which has an extract from disk feature that will bypass the files system and analyze the hard drive disk clusters for messages and if they are still there it will recover them. steve "Adam" wrote in message ...
