Greetings:
When composing and I move the cursor into the "To", "Cc", or "Subject" field, an annoying little pop-up (yellow) message box appears telling me what to enter into these fields. Is there some way to shut off this feature? Thanks L |

They're called Tooltips. You can open Outlook Express' menu to
Tools/Options/Read and uncheck the option to "Show Tooltips." -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Tried that.
The box is unchecked and the annoying boxes still appear. I seem to recall having this problem years ago and there was some way (?) to shut these things off. If you're using Windows 2000 or XP and want to try a registry edit, you can
use the tip at this link: ActiveWindows -- Disable Tooltips: http://www.activewin.com/tips/reg/interface_1.shtml -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 "Leonard M.
