OE has been working fine for years. Now just of late it very often opens

Many thanks to those that responded to this query. Unfortunately the answers
provided did not work. Disenabling my e-mail scanning anti-virus didn't work
and I didn't know how to (and was a bit weary of) deleting folders.dbx

I took my computer to my "computer man" who fixed the problem by disenabling
automatic Send/Recv on Outlook Express start-up. As soon as everything
appears in Outlook Express I then click on Send/Recv and everything works as
normal from there, including automatically checking for new mail every 2 (my
option) mins. I was also previously experiencing problems in sending mail,
particularly big files. This problem has also disappeared.

If a Hotmail account is the default email account, also disable the "Go
directly to my inbox" option.
