When I shut down oe6 it asked me if I wanted to compact the messages. I
mistakenly told it to do so. all my email messages are gone. I looked in the store folder and all the message folder were there, but they didn't show up using oe6. My question is how do I restore oe6 to "see" the messages in all of my folders mail and news? Thanks TongSlinger |

The two most common reasons for what you describe is disruption of the
compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), and bloated folders. More on that below. They will eventually become corrupted. Create your own user defined folders for storing mail and move your mail to them. Empty Deleted Items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 100MB, and Default folders as empty as is feasible. And backup often.
