Default Esoteric question about imbedded IE in OE

From what I understand, in order for OE6 to display an html based email, it
must use (imbedded?) IE. Is this imbedded version of IE upgraded each time
IE is upgraded, or does it retain the same version (with security updates I
presume) that it had when it came out? In other words, if I have IE7 or 8
installed, is it using IE7 or 8 to display html emails?

Yes. The display window is a modified internet explorer window (even for
plain text messages), except when the user has the option selected to read
messages in plain text only. Then a "Rich text" window is used to display
the messages. Whenever IE gets updated, then that window (which is based on
the IE program files) also is updated.

Default Esoteric question about imbedded IE in OE

Thanks Steve! You just gave me deciding cause to hang on to Outlook
Express a little longer. I'm going to see what comes out in Wave 4 of Live
Esssentials. Wave three was a bust.
