The pop3 format only downloads from the server Inbox. Is this a one time transfer or something that needs to happen on each download? -- Ron Sommer "Steve B." wrote in message ... It turns out that I did need to keep the stop processing more rules. I ended up creating two Inboxes as sub-folders to Local Inbox. I called them Inbox1 and Inbox2. I set up rules for each of these 2 inboxes. Now it works perfectly. My email goes into each of these 2 new inboxes and nothing goes into the main Local Inbox. The only thing that I can't figure out is how to retrieve my Hotmail Bulk Mail using the pop3 format in outlook express. Any ideas? "Ron Sommer" wrote: It is not weird. I have 2 pop3 email accounts, but I'd like to keep them separate in Outlook Express. I'd like for all the emails from one account to show up in one folder and all the emails from the other account to show up in another folder. Is it possible to not have all the emails show up in the Inbox folder? Thanks. |

This would need to happen on each download. I really like Hotmail and have
had it for years. I've been using the bulk mail folders to screen out all emails from anyone that is not in my address book or safe list. However, I feel like the bulk mail feature will not be supported when I set up a POP3 account for Hotmail. I would hope that Microsoft has a solution. :+) "Ron Sommer" wrote: Any ideas is easy. See my reply to your other thread (w/ subject 'Error 800ccc34').
You won't have access to any of those Hotmail folders in OE once you switch to POP3: Only messages in your Hotmail inbox will download into OE. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 Steve B. wrote: snip The only thing that I can't figure out is how to retrieve my Hotmail Bulk Mail using the pop3 format in outlook express. Thanks, PA Bear. I don't know how many hotmail users still use Outlook
express to view their Hotmail account, but my gut tells me that all of them will be unhappy with the change on 9/1/09. In my humble opinion, outlook express is so much better than Windows Live. Well, I can assure you that MS and the Windows Live team couldn't care less,
Steve...most likely because Win7 (and future Windows versions, most likely) will not include any default Mail Client, let alone OE. Steve B. wrote: Thanks, PA Bear.
