I amusing OE 6 on Windows XP SP2. This evening I noticed 29 days worth of
incoming e-mails had disappeared from the Inbox. I checked deleted folder, did date searches, checked trash, but still can't find the e-mails. Current View set to "Show All Messages." Desperate. ANY suggestions as to how I can recover/locate those e-mails would be greatly appreciated. |

QED: Why isn't WinXP SP3 installed yet? Is the computer fully-patched at
Windows Update otherwise? Move them to local folders created for this purpose. - Empty Deleted Items folder daily. - Frequently perform a manual compact of all OE folders while "working offline". More at http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm - Do not cancel Automatic Compacting, should it occur, and do not attempt to close OE via Task Manager or shutdown your machine if Automatic Compacting is taking place. - Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application.
