Hi
I don't run outlook express so I am unable to help a family member. She tells me that all Photo attachments end up at the bottom of her mail message; Usually not the originiating location within the email. I can't find anything about this so I don't know how to help her Any suggestions? |

If she receives a graphic attachment, it is by default open after the
message body. If she is creating an e-mail and wants the graphic in a specific place in the message, she must use Insert | Picture and not Insert | File Attachment. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Mary B" wrote in message ... Let me make sure I understand before I tell her
The photos are showing on the bottom of the message because they are opened last, so no matter where they were in the original message they will always be at the end Correct? Is this for messages received by her, or created? If it is for received mail
an attachment *cannot* be in a specific portion of the text. Hence the name: Attachment. Graphic attachments will appear open after the text of a message. Other attachments have to be opened by clicking the paper clip. If this is for mail she is creating, she must use Inset | Picture to place it in the message body with text above and below. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Mary B" wrote in message ... If she wants a picture inside the message, then when she creates a new
message, she has to go to Message | Format and choose HTML. Then when she clicks in the message window, she can go to Insert | Picture and then put the picture into the body of the message in the place she wants. But if she composes a message in plain text, then the picture is included at the end of the message and not in the middle of it. I don't know if that helps, but maybe it does. cheers, steve "Mary B" wrote in message ... Hi I don't run outlook express so I am unable to help a family member. Sorry for not making myself clear; this is for mail she is receiving. It
makes it hard to match a caption with the picture "Steve Cochran" wrote: If she wants a picture inside the message, then when she creates a new message, she has to go to Message | Format and choose HTML. Well, the sender is doing that, and she can't do much about it.
