Open Control Panel, click Tools/Folder Options then File Types tab. Scroll
to (NONE)URL-Hyper Text Transfer Protocol and make sure the Open action is associated with Internet Explorer (iexplore.exe). It sounds like your installation of the AOL Browser has hijacked the file association for that action. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Click on Edit and review the info in the graphic. The info in the box pointing to the "Application used to perform action" should read (and confirm that iexplore.exe is found at that location on your computer):
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. See www.oehelp.com/ielnk.aspx
Also try going to Control Panel | Add / Remove Programs | Set Program access and defaults and set it to IE and OE. steve "ret2go" wrote in message ...
