Outlook backups
 

I use Outlook 2003 SP3 under XP Pro SP3 fully patched. Following a recent
near-disaster I thought I would backup my Outlook to my second (D:\) disk.
But despite me specifying in the backup to use D:\outlookbackup folder,
backup always tries to use the default .pst location on the C: drive. Any
ideas, please how I may secure my backup data?

Why do you need other software to do this for you?
Any reason you can't make a copy of your Outlook data file yourself? That's
what everyone else does.

It's not an Outlook "feature" - it's an add-in that you installed. It
doesn't come with Outlook natively.

So what is your second "D" drive? In many cases it's a RECOVERY drive and is
usually fairly full.

We already gave you the answer. Backup the file yourself. No add-in or
automated backup for Outlook is reliable enough for me to trust. I'd never
use such a program. You shouldn't either.

Close Outlook. Copy the .pst to your preferred location. Done.
