Disappearing Tasks
Hi All,
If there is anyone that can help me in solving this problem I will be eternally grateful. I recently purchased a laptop and was having problems when running my PST file on a network drive. Subsequently I am trying to synchronize the 2 copies between my desktop and lap top using All Sync software. Here is the problem, after copying the .PST file from my desktop to the Laptop all my tasks just "disappear". The odd part is that when I open outlook on the Laptop when it first goes to Outlook today the tasks are there. By the time the software loads though, they disappear right before my very eyes. I have tried manually copying the file, checked for filters that might be applied. Check private vs public status and can not seem to come up with an answer. The weirdest part as I mentioned is that I see that tasks as Outlook starts to load, and THEN they disappear. Anybody have any suggestions on things I could look at or what might possibly be the problem? Tom |

Hi Brian,
I assume that you mean on the laptop where I am having the problem, however on the in case I tried on both the desktop and the laptop and this has not solved the problem. Any other suggestions? Where are you looking to see your tasks, in the Tasks folder, in Outlook Today, or the To Do bar for Outlook 2007? You don't state yor Outlook version. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Hi Brian,
Sorry I forgot to mention that, I am using Outlook 2007 on a Windows 2007 professional. I have tried both in the Tasks folder, as well as the To Do Bar. The odd thing is, there a couple of tasks which are "flagged" mail messages. These do show up, but nothing else. Make a new Task (not a flagged email) and enter data in most fields
(Subject, start/due dates, etc). is the ToDo bar set to show tasks? Check what settings you have turned on. Have you used any automatic formattiing that filters your ToDo Bar view? In the Tasks folder, what fields do you see? Try another view that you have not adjusted at any time. Or reset the views. -- Regards Judy Gleeson MVP Outlook "Gandalf252002" wrote in message ...
