Customize Toolbar corrupted
When I try to customize the toolbar so that I can integrate Outlook Express
newsreader in Outlook the "New" button does not appear in Command under "Go". I tried several things: a) repair b) reinstall c) uninstall and reinstall Still nothing works. How can I uninstall completely and star all over again. Or if I knew what file or dll is used I may be able to copy one from another computer. IF |

You are not looking in the right place place for "News" - I assume that's
what you mean by "New" in your post. In Outlook try this, right click on the toolbar in a blank area, select Customize, then, Command, then VIEW, - find News and drag it to the toolbar. Yes, I am looking for "news" . It's not there. I beleive it is supposed to
be in "Customize Toolbar" under Catagory "Go". It's just not there. I have tried everything.. "Denzil Hathway" wrote in message news:y33Xf.364$5k1.196@fed1read06... I took a look at this link. Still nothing. There is no "news" under the
Catagory "go". I have 2 "internet call". I have no idea what I did? But whatever, I cannot reset this at all. "Brian Tillman" wrote in message ... To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No button. You may need to reset the Menu Bar and/or restart Outlook and/or reboot your machine in order to complete the process. Not everyone is reporting success with this method, but try it and see what happens. If all else fails, you can always create a desktop shortcut to Outlook Express and include the /outnews switch -- that gives you the same result as accessing the newsreader via the News command in Outlook. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Sigh, Brian, give it up.
People who need help find it where they can understand and use it. Sometimes it is your info, sometimes it is mine. Sometimes it is actually a troll who gets it right. Let's buy each other a beer and call it a night. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
