The Out of Office can be configured with any message you wish. It will
reply only to internal addresses by default if the Exchange server is set to the default which is to deny replies and forwards to the Internet. Rules wizard is not in play. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. After furious head scratching, Mike asked: | I want to use the Outlook out of office thingy. Thanks for the reply.
I justed tested it with my gmail account and I got the out of office reply. So I guess the exchange defaults were changed. Is there anything I can do outside of changing the exchange configuration? What is required to enable the exchange server to send out of office replys
to email from outside? Is it a setting in outlook that is configurable or on the exchange server? Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] wrote: The Out of Office can be configured with any message you wish.
