Recovering deleted tasks
I accidentally with one click deleted a group of tasks. Can they, or
the group, be recovered? Nothing went tino my deleted file in mail or my trash can. I don't know where else to look. |

What exactly did you do?
If you deleted them they will be in the deleted items folder. Do you use 2003? If so, get out of the Mail view and look at the Folder list (on the left side in Navigation Pain). Now look in the Deleted Items folder. I was intasks in Outlook. I had all my groups closed. Each group
contained about 30 tasks. So, all I could view were the three group lines in gray with the number of tasks in each written in that line. Can you picture it? Now I went up to the X in my tool bar and clicked it while my cursor was on one of the groups and had it highlighted. Poof the whole group disappeared. Can't find it or the tasks anywhere. Should I stop looking? Judy Gleeson MVP - Outlook wrote: What exactly did you do? If you deleted them they will be in the deleted items folder. Do you use 2003? Two things to try. First, click EditUndo Delete. If that doesn't help, at the bottom of the Navigation Pane, click Folder List, then click the Deleted Items folder. The tasks should be there. Select them and click EditMove to Folder. Specify your Tasks folder as the destination. -- Brian Tillman |

Nope. Tried both. The undo function I was too late; not sure if it
would have worked. I checked all folders. Nada. Where they heck did the tasks go? Not in a deleted files file, the trash can? Is this possible? One click and poof .... Expand all the groups or ungroup the Tasks folder.
When I replicate what you did, they go to Deleted Items. Have you got Empty Deleted items on exiting turned on? -- Judy Gleeson - MVP Outlook Acorn Training and Consulting Canberra, Australia see what Outlook training can do to improve productivity: http://www.acorntraining.com.au/pdfd...ithOutlook.pps www.acorntraining.com.au/productivit.htm "nickravo" wrote in message oups.com...
