How do I get rid of gray bar down right side of calendar

I was playing around w/ seeing the taskpad when viewing the calendar and
somehow during turning the taskpad on and off I have a gray bar down the
right side of my calendar view. It is there whether or not the taskpad is
turned on. I can grab the right side of the calendar or taskpad and slide
it to the left but not all the way to the right. The bar is about 1/2"
wide...and it's annoying me. Any ideas?

Thanks

And I've now noticed something else. I can't turn off the taskpad. When I
go to VIEW and check TASKPAD it simply minimizes it to the right and doesn't
turn it off. I've checked w/ a few other computers in the office and they
can all turn taskpad on and off. When I uncheck taskpad under VIEW it
minimizes to the right and then I have two bars showing that something is
minimized on the right. I can then grab the left bar and slide it over and
still see the taskpad even through it's no longer checked under VIEW.

This happened at the same time that I got the gray bar down the left side of
my calendar view. The gray bar is between the double lines discussed above
and the very edge of the outlook window.

Think you may have managed to make your TaskPad into only a single
column - can you right click on the heading of the TaskPad and use the field
chooser to add fields? Or can you stretch the width of the field you have
( in the column header again)?

Fiddle with the settings for TaskPad View and see if you can reverse
what's happened.

I think it's your Preview Pane turned on. Turn it off.
