I am a new outlook user, and I have set both of my current e-mail accounts to
pool into Outlook. One is an adelphia webmail account, the other is a FirstClass account. I am not having any trouble receiving mail, but I cannot send mail. Perhaps one out of every 10 messages I send actually reaces the intended reciepent, I get the floowing message every time: Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: ... Sent: 5/3/2006 12:30 PM The following recipient(s) could not be reached: 'address' on 5/3/2006 12:30 PM 550 5.7.1 address... Relaying denied. Proper authentication required. I have tried set up the password to be protected during authentication, but then it again refuses to send saying something about the authentication not being supported..... HELP! |

When you setup the accounts what did you use as the SMTP (outgoing mail)
server name? "Monica Squires" wrote in message ... hate to sound dumb, but how does one do that? I am trying to send mail through both my adelphia account and or my firstclass account, and i have them set up as POP3 things........... |

I used the names that were given to me by my service providers. Firstclass
gave me an address thing, and so did adelphia. I also tried enabling SSL encryption and such. It is so odd, it finds the servers, but will not me send any mail......... grrrr, this is really annoying. It worked for like an hour right after I set it up, but I didnt change anything and it ceased to work........... |
