Redemtion & Outlook 2000
Apologies if this has been covered many times before. I did Google but
didn't find exactly the answers I needed (which may mean I'm simply not a good enough Googler!). I know the cause of the nasty "Another program is trying..." popups and it seems that the solution is "Redemtion", but some questions. 1. If I install redemtion, is that it or does the program which is trying to send e-mail have to change too? 2. Is redemtion something that should be enabled and disabled to order, and if so can it be? 3. Does redemtion drive a "coach and horses" through security or is it more subtle than that? Thanks for your response, Paul DS. -- Please remove the "x-" if replying to sender. |

Redemption would help if the code causing the security prompt is code you own and can revise. It's a code library, after all.

Just an update to the information below, I'm using "Outlook 2000" and just Internet (POP3) mail, which I believe is the IMO option which from reading leads me to another question... 4. Does even Redemption help in this case? Thanks, Paul DS. Apologies if this has been covered many times before. Redemtion & Outlook 2000
Although lots of MAPI things are just broken with Outlook 2000 IMO.

Redemtion & Outlook 2000
Thanks Sue. I take your answer to mean "the calling code has to be
rewritten to use redemption" which makes redemption of no use if the calling code is a third party product. I'm going to try the mapilab.com product to see if it works - watch this space! Paul DS.
