WHERE are you trying to change this password? You don't need to know your
mail server password in Outlook to change it!

Does Outlook ask for a password when you try to send and receive email, or
when you first open it, ie does your Personal Folders file have a password
on it?

Two things. Firstly, are you SURE that the password has actually been
changed? Very often Outlook asks for a password when the Email server is
down. Check on the status page of your ISP for any mail server outages.
If that's not the case, and Outlook is still asking for a password, (by the
way, the ONLY way to change that is to log on to the master account with
your ISP and change it there - are you SURE that your children are capable
and have the information to do that?) just type in the password as you know
it to be.
