Missing contacts

When I start to create a new message I have addresses which are offered to
me as a tooltip when I start to type in the TO field, that are not displayed
in the Contacts list.
These are desired addresses of people I have previously posted to.
Sometimes addresses that I want to use are offered and at other times they
are not.
If I select Address Book I can only see the same partial list of entries as
I see in the Contact List.
Where are the "missing" addresses located, and how do I get them into the
Contact List, and/or Address Book?
TIA

Missing contacts

Those pop up addresses are just addresses you've used in the past, and are
stored in an NK2 file on your computer. There is no connection between this
file and your Contacts folder or any other address books, so if you want the
addresses in an address book, you'll have to add them manually.
