I just got Outlook 2003 about 2 weeks ago. There has not been one day that
it has locked up at least 4 or 5 times a day. There is not pattern for the lock ups. Sometimes it does checking mail, sometimes when I am working with the Calendar, sometimes when I am just wanting to miniumize it. I have tried Detect and Repair still have problems. I have uninstalled/reinstalled still locks up. I had OutlookXP previously, it worked fine, no problems. I am really frustrated. It is especially frustrating when I have people standing at my desk waiting for me to pull up the Calendar so I can get them scheduled than Outlook starts crashing. This is unacceptable. What else can I do to get this program working? |

Do you get the windows popup which asks if you want to send a report to
Microsoft? If so, what does it say when view details? If it does not pop up, do you have that feature turned off (I do not remember how to turn it on/off)? In addition to making sure that you have all files up to date, try the MS
knowledge base with some of the info from the message. Another item to do is got to control panel/administrative tools/Event viewer/application. The take the event ID and put it in a search on the knowledge base. Neil "GoldLexus" wrote in message news:6Cjqg.1772$Ap2.1699@trnddc03... Yup I get the popup. I have MS Office 2003 SP3. I have deleted my email accounts in Outlook
because it would lock up when checking mail. "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote in message ... Have you applied the Office 2003 service packs? Deleting email accounts is not the same as creating a new mail profile.

I didn't delete the mail accounts to make things better. I did it because I
don't want to use Outlook for my email. Do I still need to create a new mail profile if I don't want to use the email part. I use Outlook for scheduling/calendar and the address book. I may use it for email someday but not right now. "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote in message ... Deleting email accounts is not the same as creating a new mail profile.
