Profiles in Outlook

*Hi.....

This is my first post here, hopefully somebody can help!!

OS - Windows XP with Outlook 2000

I had two email accounts set up in Outlook, one primary and one sub
account from an ISP. They were set up in such a way that when I
opened Outlook I would see the window from where I could choose which
account to open, so in effect the two accounts were entirely separate
with their own calender, contacts etc and this is how I liked it!
Anyhow, I have subsequently suffered a fairly drastic system
breakdown, which may yet lead to one of my own! and, to cut a long
story short, had to reformat the drive and reload Windows.
...., but these only succeed in creating one mailbox and I cannot get
the option to choose an account when Outlook opens.
One thing that has confused me slightly is that I was sure that I had
a services option under the Tools menu previously, from which I could
create personal folders...but maybe I'm wrong as I know it does vary
dependant on version.
Anyway, I hope I have explained myself sufficiently...hopefully
someone can provide me with a solution before I crack up totally and
throw everything out of the nearest window!!! :-)

I'd appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Michael *

If I understand you correctly, you would like Outlook prompt you for a
profile before it opens, correct? If so, go to the control panel and
double click the "Mail" icon under the "classic" view. Choose show
profiles and select the option to prompt you for a profile.

Hope this helps.
