Running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Pro SP2, the program crashes
immediately after opening. The following error information is provided: AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 11.0.6565.0 AppStamp:42cacc7d ModName: msmapi32.dll ModVer: 11.0.6566.0 ModStamp:42cdb657 fDebug: 0 Offset: 000224fd I'm dead in the water at this point. |

A few things to try:
Disable the built in firewall with XP Disable your antivirus (temporarily) login as a new user to create a new profile try uninstalling office and reinstall I have also seen strange things happen if the users temp folder is overloaded. |

Setting up a new account using IMAP instead of POP3 seems to work.

How big is your POP account? Perhaps you're .pst file is too large. I

Outlook 2003 has a much bigger PST capacity than older versions.

Yes, but if you upgraded sometimes it doesn't automatically update the
format of your .pst. Often times, you'd have to create a new account. K.
