I have Outlook 2003 configured with two email accounts and despite the fact
that I have account 1 configured as the default account, when I reply to an email it always gets sent out as a reply from account 2. Every time I send a new email it is sent from account 1 and when people reply it gets sent to account 1, but when I hit reply it gets sent from account 2 unless I manually switch it. How do I ensure that account 1 is always used as the account from which replies get sent? |

Replies are always sent from the same acct the original message was sent to.
You must change it manually each time. Are you sure those emails were sent to the correct original acct? Perhaps the emailer changed it and replied to the wrong address. This post helped me:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Appl..._21403560.html You can create a "mixed" account where POP server is the desired server for incoming email and SMTP server points to your desired outgoing server. You might need to use "More Setting/Outgoing Server/Log on using" option to specify the user name and password for the SMTP. Thanks, but those options unfortunately didn't do the trick for me.

I have the same problem.
I have a Exchange account and one or more POP3 accounts. And it always uses the Exchange account to do the reply/forwards. And that happens in all computers.
