Forward Original message
Hi.
In my environment I have two different clients. OL2000 and OL2003 When a plaintext message arrives to both these types of clients and I forward the message, the new mail starts with the text -----Original message------ on both clients When a RTF/HTML message arrives to both these types of clients and I forward the message, only the OL2000 has the text -----Original message----- Why is it like this? HTML/Rich Text replies are handled differently in OL 2003 than OL 2000, I believe. In OL 2003, what you see if controlled by the settings in the "On replies and forwards" section of ToolsOptionsE-mail Options. If "When replying to a message" is set to "Include original message text", the reply and the original text will be separated by a solid horizonal line. If "Prefix each line of the original message" is chosen, HTML messages will have the reply bordered on the left with a vertical line in the color chosen in the "When replying and forwarding" field on ToolsOptionsMail FormatFonts while Rich Text will be indented, but still use the solid horizonal line to separate the original and the reply. Rich Text and HTML will also behave the same (i.e., indented and separated from the reply by a horizontal solid line) if you choose "Include and indent original message text". -- Brian Tillman |
