Not receiving any incoming emails
For some reason I can not receive any incoming emails for my Outlook 2003
(nor my webmail account). I setup my email account and completed the test account settings and all test checked okay. I even went to ToolsSend and ReceiveSend and Receive All, and that went through w/no errors. I tried sending me an email from my yahoo and my school accounts and they both came back stating: Yahoo: 209.204.209.162 does not like recipient. Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied. Giving up on 209.204.209.162. School: on 9/10/2006 10:10 PM You do not have permission to send to this recipient. You have to be logged onto the same server that you are using for sending
or set that server to use the same credentials as your outgoing server. Since we don't have details of your accounts, please recheck them to ensure that your authentication is set correctly. For instance, you cannot use your uni mail to send through Outlook unless you are either logged onto their server or have it set to authenticate. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Okay...I checked my account and the internet settings have the following:
a check by"My outgoing server (SMTP)requires authentication" and a "dot" in the circle that states "Use same settings as my incoming server." Should I change it? We don't know - we don't know what server you are using so telling you to
change the authentication on an unknown server is useless. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.
