In Outlook, click HelpAbout, then the System Information button. Expand
the "Software Environment" category and select "Loaded Modules". "cdo" will
be listed there.

I think the OP was saying the CDO's version should be 6.x. Mine, for
example, is 6.5.7233.48. being used with Outlook 2003. CDO is located in
%CommonProgramFIles%\system\msmapi\1033\cdo.dll

Brian, I have tried it. However, I cannot find the cdo there. Anything
wrong with my Outlook. My software is Outlook, not Outlook express and the
version is 11.0. The Exchange server is Exchange 2003.

Thanks your reply. My Outlook is version 11.0 as checked under
About...system sumaryOffice 2003 applicationsMicrosoft Office Outlook
2003Summary.

It is Outlook, not Outlook express. I have followed Brian instruction.
However, I cannot find cdo or any cdo related file. Something wrong with my
Outlook? I am using Exchange server 2003. I can find the cdo version of the
Exchange server. However, I don't know how to find the cdo version of
Outlook.

CDO is not part of the default Outlook installation. You may need to rerun setup and install it.

Then open Windows Explorer and enter the following into the Address field:

%CommonProgramFiles%\system\MSMAPI\1033

and click Go or click StartRun and enter that string in the Open field and
click OK. CDO.DLL should be in that folder if you're using a US English
version of Outlook. If Windows doesn't show you the version along with the
name of the file (which you should see if you're using the Tiles view),
right-click the file, choose Properties, click the Version tab and select
File Version.
