News went away
Open Outlook, then click on "News" and presto! The folder
C:\Program Files\Common\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033 opens. And newsgroups can't be accessed for love or money (which is often the same thing). What's up with this? Thanks. |

What's up with this? Googling will find the answer (http://groups.google.com/groups/sear...ublic.outlook). Searching Microsoft's support knowledgebase finds lots of possible answers, too (http://support.microsoft.com/search/...issing+new s; I couldn't include the version since you didn't include it). However, why bother opening Outlook if you want to go to newsgroups? Outlook never has had support for NNTP (network news transfer protocol). It calls Outlook Express to do newsgroups, so why not just directly open OE and do newsgroups there since that's where you going to do newsgroups, anyway? |
