remove Outlook from startup for 'limited' user, but keep it for 'A

As admin user, I want Outlook to open when I startup, but another user on my
computer doesn't want Outlook to open upon startup. I'm sure it's a simple
fix, but when I've tried to eliminate it from his startup, it won't allow me
to...indicating that the file's in use, or write protected,, etc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, :-) Lo

Add a shortcut to Outlook in the Administrator's Startup folder and remove
it from the limited account's Startup folder. Make sure it is not in the
All Users Startup folder.

From the Admin's side, if I go to the startup folder of the limited user, via
C:\Documents and Settings\limited user\Start Menu\Programs\Startup...there is
no Outlook to delete within the folder.
If I try from the limited user's side to eliminate Outlook in
startprogramsstartupOutlook 2003(2)...it won't let me delete
it.....indicating access denied...make sure disk not...write protected....or
file currently in use, etc...
As the Admin user, I like Outlook to open when I boot up, but the limited
user doesn't want it to open until he chooses to open it.
Always appreciate your info Brian. :-) Lo

Did you also look in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup? I said you should look there and well (as
Administrator) and remove the shortcut if you find one.

I eliminated it from the All User's folder and it deleted it from both the
Admin and the limited user. I then just dragged and dropped an Outlook
shortcut into the start menuprogramsstart menu....on my Admin side. Seems
to have solved the problem and I can have Outlook open whenever I log on, but
the other user will not have it open until it's selected. Thank you Brian
for your expertise!! Have a GREAT day! :-) Lo
