local pc, no domain, simple workgroup, internet only outlook
I heard that xcopy will corrupt outlook if outlook is open when xcopy is invoked. What about using w2k/xp's microsoft backup to backup outlook while it is left open? Running backup across the network or locally. Thank "You". |

Any sort of copy operation (and basically that is what a backup utility does) while Outlook is open runs a very great danger of corrupting the pst file.... |

Thank you both.
Now knowing this... any way to shutdown outlook at 11pm (if it is accidentally left running) so ms backup can auto start at 11:11pm?
