How do I hide the Windows Installer box?

Our tech person recently reinstalled Microsoft Office 2003. During the
process Microsoft was also updated. I am not haveing any trouble with
Outlook except a "Windows Installer" box appears constantly with a "preparing
to install" message. The only option is to cancel. How do you hide this
message box? It will pop up while working in other programs not just while I
am in Outlook.

How do I hide the Windows Installer box?

I'd call the tech person back to deal with the issue.

don't cancel it, let it run through and it should fix it for outlook. There
is a bug in the installer support files that cause it to keep coming up -
the fix is to either let it run or install something else that uses it -
then it pops up for that program. :)
