Outlook 2007 on windows vista ultimate
Outlook 2007 appears to be a slow as molasses on cold day. I have turned off
my offline address book, and disabled encrytion with encryption with exchange. We are running exchange 2003 sp1. Also there are no rss feeds in outlook or ie 7. When I change settings outlook just goes to sleep and does not respond. All in all outllook 2007 is a dog. Does anyone have any recommendations? |

Read the "Outlook 2007 rtm still slow" thread and follow some of the
suggestions in there. I saw that thread before, but none of it applies. I am going at exhange
server my and mailbox is small. Most of the meesages I get are four or five lines of text with no attachments. The curious thing is I uninstalled office 2007 and installed office 2003. then i ran outlook 2003 and had the same behavior. I have to run sql server 2005 and vs 2005 also. The first time I installed a fresh copy of vista and then sql server 2005 (the install does not ever work on vista). So I searched around and saw the problems people had and then i installed a fresh copy of xp with sp2 and installed all my app with ctp service packs ( sp2 for sql server 2005 and sp1 for vs 2005). But with outlook 2003 also not performing i wonder if this is vista's fault. i will try uninstalling 2003 and clean up any .ost and .pst files and then rerun outlook 2003. But from my searches for outlook 2007 I was running a very plain install. Just get small text messages and respond to them, but the receive would fail to complete and when I changed settings to improve the performance outlook 2007 would not run which forced me to reboot. I can take the work arounds on my delevopment enviroment because of testing all the new features but I can't wait for outlook 2007 to recieve simple emails. Outlook 2007 on windows vista ultimate
I have horrible performance with Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2003 and I'm
running XP Professional (so it's not just Vista). I'm really surprised. It's as slow as an early beta I tried- and abandoned. Other ideas out there?
