Recurring Tasks & Reminders

I have setup several recurring reminders with reminder alarms, however when
I 'complete' one of these tasks, the reminder for all future occurances is
removed.

Is there a setting or method to prevent this from happening in Outlook 2007?

Is there a better approach?

If the task is complete, then it is over and you have no need of further
reminders. Instead, if the task is ongoing, dismiss the reminder and a new
one should be generated for the next recurrence.

I tried that one already. Dismissing the reminder does not complete the
task. So the task remains open for that day.

I know of no effective solution for recurring Tasks - and they're my pet
part of Outlook.

I make recurring Events as a workaround. It's not perfect either.

Oddly enough -- completing the task in Outlook 2007 seems to be working for
me today -- the start date is advancing and the reminder is staying intact.

I swear it wasn't working this weekend. :)
