Outlook 2007 - when sending

Problem 1:

Since I first put Office 2007 in, when sending email through Outlook 2007,
if there is only 1 email to go out, it sits there not actually being sent
until I TELL it to go. If there is one sitting there already and I send
another, that forces the first to go and holds on to the second etc.
Eventually, left to its own devices, Outlook 2007 WILL send it but never
straight away. Has anyone any idea why please?

Problem 2:

Also since I first put Office 2007 in, having used Outlook 2002 prior to
that without this problem in it, when I have that one email to go out and
force it to do so my clicking on the option "Send all" (not "Send/Receive"),
it immediately sends that message but if I watch the counter in the bottom
right of the Outlook 2007 bar, it may count from, for example, 17-24 and act
as if it is sending 7 messages when I am only sending the one. I know there
is no nasty on my machine causing that and there is only ever the one email
going. This problem never occurred with Outlook 2002 but immediately after
updating Outlook 2002 to Outlook 2007 with the Office 2007 install, this
started. Is there any reason this happens at all please?

Thanks for any replies.

Thanks but nope. It isn't for Outlook 2007.

Does the item get sent when your mailbox is polled for new mail items?

I have had a similar issue with Outlook 07 sending "9 of 9 items" when
starting the program when nothing is in the outbox. I tried the MDB tool
Brian suggested, but i show no items in any folder to deactivate. the tool
download is labeled for Exchange Server 2003, too. Any other suggestions for
what the issue could be? Is another [malware] program hijacking my email
client and sending out emails without my consent/scheduling?

Set up this. Get a test email ready to go but before sending, change to your
Outbox and then click to send the message. You will see it appear and
eventually disappear. It isn't malware. It is some oddity in Outlook 2007.
