Whenever I open Outlook it configures itself as the default email client.
After I close Outlook I change the default in programs back to Outlook
express just to have this repeat.
I don't want Outlook to be the default. How can I manage this?

Check that both of these are set up. On IE -Tools Interent Options - Program - default email program is OE

On Outlook Express - Tools Options - select it there to be your default email program
