Hi,
After the last Windows update (Vista Home Premium), msvcr80.dll could not be found. After I copied it from the install CD to Office12, Outlook cannot start, and generates the following event, which charges ntdll.dll: - Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event" - System Provider Name="Application Error" / EventID Qualifiers="0"1000/EventID Level2/Level Task100/Task Keywords0x80000000000000/Keywords TimeCreated SystemTime="2007-06-15T12:37:49.000Z" / EventRecordID14078/EventRecordID ChannelApplication/Channel ComputerLaptop/Computer Security / /System - EventData DataOUTLOOK.EXE/Data Data12.0.6014.5000/Data Data46031a52/Data Datantdll.dll/Data Data6.0.6000.16386/Data Data4549bdc9/Data Data80000003/Data Data00042ea8/Data Data1188/Data Data01c7af49fba9fe02/Data /EventData /Event Office diagnostics find no problem, and Repair stalls because Machine Debug Mgr cannot be stopped, while it is already not active. Do you have any Symantec (Norton) products installed? If yes, look on their support forums for assistance.

I had a similar problem BUT my Outlook 2007 hung up at the splash
screen. I spent the whole day with ms support and still could not get Outlook to start! How about Windows Defender?

Windows Defender is running in the background. How can it relate to my problem ? |
