Are you trying to extract and move some of the emails ? You cannot . You can of course back up and save to an outside media but only the whole file. It is named as *.pstThere is other ways to do this if I am understanding you correctly. If this is what you want or aiming for post back. If I am off by not understanding your question let us know

There are a couple of ways to approach this. But you need to be aware of how
these messages will be accessed or read. You could create a new pst file,
then copy the messages you want for your business record file into that new
pst. then copy the pst file to your business record file. The downside is
someone would need Outlook (or a pst reader utility like "PSTWalker" to read
the messages.

Or you could open each message and save them individually to the business
record file. They can be saved as text, HTML, or as a message. Again, be
aware of how they will be accessed and read before deciding on a format.
