Outlook does not support NNTP (network news transfer protcol) so this is
not an Outlook issue. Outlook Express is called by Outlook to do
newsgroups. This group is for Outlook, not Outlook Express.

Extremely few newsgroups have descriptions. You can't tell by the
newsgroup name as to what topic it covers?

I'd say he's complaining about the fact that OE doesn't expand the newsgroup
name column very far when you pull it up, but, afaik, that column is
resizable, so Rick should just be able to point to the line and expand the
column out a bit.

But, like you said, OE is a different group.
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general to be precise.
