I will be moving my Outlook 2007 to a new computer and want to know what
files I need to copy to minimize my setup. I know that I need to copy my pst file for the data but I don't know what other files should be copied (i.e. to get profile, etc). Would appreciate any information -- Neil |

The pst file is all that is needed. I suggest that you put it in a folder
under Documents for easy backup. Open Outlook on the Vista machine and then File Open Outlook data file and browse to the pst in that new folder under Documents. If I only copy my pst file, I will not get the profile and will not get the
email setup. I would like to get these items since they will be the same. -- Neil "Charles W Davis" wrote in message ... The pst file is all that is needed. Don't even try it. There is no reliable way to transfer this information.
Always start Outlook 2007 with a new profile that you configure from scratch. Nothing else will work. Then you configure the new profile to use the PST file that you copied. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Remove ABCD from Email address to reply" wrote in message ...
