I have deleted a message in my inbox, but it won't go away... It just appears
to have a line through it. How do I make it permanently go away and I never see it again? I have tried emptying the deleted items folder but it doesn't work. Please help. |

I have tried emptying the deleted items folder but it doesn't work. Please help. You are using an IMAP4 account instead of POP3. With IMAP4, yanking a new mail leaves it on the server (so another IMAP4 client accessing the same account can get that same message, like when you are travelling). Deleting a message in an IMAP4 only marks it deleted hence the red line. You will actually have to Purge the delete-marked items from your IMAP4 (to get rid of them up on the mail server). So I actually have to go into the other e-mail to purge the e-mail? Is there
not a way to purge them within the outlook program? "Vanguard" wrote: "crystalkitty89" wrote in message ... I have deleted a message in my inbox, but it won't go away...
