Hi,
My Outlook 2003 has been working fine. Yesterday I go out for a while and when I came back to the computer on the screen is the " ...encountered a problem and needs to close ..." error box. Computer was fine when I left it. I close it and that's it, my Outlook will not come up anymore without the error and I have to close it. What I have tried: 1) Safe Mode does the same thing. 2) Deleted outcmd.dat and extend.dat. 3) Created a new profile. 4) Created and new profile and did not use my current .pst file. 5) Tried to repair/install from Office disk, but that also tells me it ran into and error and can't finish. 6) Ran virus check, verified I am all updated. 7) Updated my office in the Microsoft site. What else can I do? I have not installed anything new. Seems like an email came in and screwed something up or my registry has an issue. HELP PLEASE, I hate when my computer is having issues ... Thanks, Franco |

OK, my issue was the same as stated above, Cloubmark. They are getting a
nasty letter, this is the second time they have done this and cost me my time. "Franco" wrote in message ... Hi, My Outlook 2003 has been working fine. Cloudmark has been around for some time now and if this is only the second mistake in that time, they have a better track record than many companies. Moreover, they (within 24 hours) published a fix on their Help pages. Can you say the same about Microsoft (or most other companies)? Don't get your knickers in a twist. -- Brian Tillman |

Should I check once a day on the Cloudmark website if there have been any issues?? They should have sent out an email stating there was a problem, most people have access to web based email and this could have avoided the problem for a lot of users. Does Microsoft or most other companies do this, as well as the ones I have worked for. Yes. And it is a little silly to compare Microsoft to Cloudmark, a company that small had better issue a fix within 24 hours! |
