moving pst location
To keep a copy, relevently pain free, use the Outlook Backup addin,
available for free from MS OL site "TS Mathews" wrote in message .. . Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly but I could have sworn back in my Outlook 2002 days, that I could change the default location of the PST files. While I know I can make a copy of my current pst file and keep it on one of my external drives for safety, it's certainly a pain in the neck to have to recopy it literally every day. Is there any way I can change the default location for the outlook.pst? Thanks, Tim PS Oops, forgot to mention I'm now using Outlook 2007 -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

Hi Tim,
Is this for IMAP? Or do you just mean the standard PST file? That one can be moved. The easiest way is to close Outlook fully, then move the file via Windows Explorer. When you open Outlook again, it will ask you where to find the file. Select it and you should be good to go. Thanks so much...once you suggested it, I remembered that this was the way I
had been told do get the job done. Works perfectly. "Patrick Schmid [MVP]" wrote in message ... Hi Tim, Is this for IMAP? Or do you just mean the standard PST file? That one can be moved.
