Additional Address Book
I have a separate address book in my Outlook 2007 contacts, but when I'm in
that address book I cannot create a distribution list because the only option I get when clicking "Select Members" is my basic address book. "Help" tells me I can change the properties to allow the additional address book to show, but I can't find where the instructions are to do that. Can someone please help. |
Additional Address Book
Since Outlook does not have an address book, you need to clarify what you
mean by that term. Contact data can only be created in Contacts Folders, and you can certainly create a DL in any Contacts Folder you want. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jan" wrote in message et... I must be missing something then. When I go to the "Soccer" contact folder
and try to make a new DL, the only addresses that show up are from my "General" contact folder. What am I doing wrong??? "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... Did you enable the "Soccer" Contacts folder as an email address book so it
would appear? You do so in the properties for that folder, available in the R click context menu. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jan" wrote in message ... I must be missing something then. To clarify: I have 3 folders: Contacts, Soccer, Law Group. The only
listing I can get when I go to select members for a new distribution list are the names in the "Contacts" folder. If I were to rename the other two Contacts-Soccer and Contact-Law Group, would that make a difference ? "Jan" wrote in message ... I must be missing something then. No, it won't matter.
did you right click on the Soccer folder and choose properties and check the setting on the address book tab? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Jan Groshan" wrote in message t... Thanks. That's what I was looking for. I'll check it at the office tomorrow.
I thought it might have something to do with Properties, but I didn't know where Properties was located. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ...
