how do I set up a "send to spam" icon on my toolbar in MS Outlook?
I am bothered with sooooo much spam emails and I would like to be able to
select these emails....specify them as spam. Then, if I receive them again they will go automatically into my spam folder with no action on my part. Also, is there a way to delete the contents of the Spam Mail Folder without selecting all these emails and sending them to the Delete Folder? |

Since you fail to share with us which Outlook version you're using (and also
expect everyone to know how you configure your Outlook), I'll assume you have Outlook 2003 and connect to Exchange 2003 server. How about that? "Sunshine" wrote in message ... I am bothered with sooooo much spam emails and I would like to be able to select these emails....specify them as spam. Right click the email - Junk Email - Add sender to Blocked Sender List Then, if I receive them again they will go automatically into my spam folder with no action on my part. Only if the spammers use the same sender's email address or domain name which is not true in most cases. Spammers keep changing their address to dodge spam filter (which is what you need, if you don't already have one). Also, is there a way to delete the contents of the Spam Mail Folder without selecting all these emails and sending them to the Delete Folder? Enable Auto Archive on Junk E-mail folder and set it to "Permanently delete old items" after x days/weeks/months. |

There's no way to select a message and specify it as junk e-mil. Whan you CAN do is ass the sender of any junk message to the Blocked Senders list, but this is virtually worthless, since junk e-mailers rarely reuse the sender address. You can add the domain to the Block Senders list and this is marginally more effective, but still less than perfect. To delete the contents of the Junk E-mail folder (there is no folder named "SPAM") , right-click it and choose "Empty the Junk E-mail Folder". -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
