I am having trouble with the way in which the Address Book displays.
I prefer all names to appear as: Surname, Forename (ie; Smith, John). Within my Contacts, all names show this way under both 'Full Name' and 'File as'. Despite this, however, when opening Address Book, some of the names still show in the first column as 'John Smith' even though the second column (Display As) shows them as 'Smith, John'. None of my attempts at altering this seem to have worked! Any ideas? |

Ideas would require knowing your Outlook version and what "all your
attempts" entailed. What works for those using Outlook 2002 and 2003 is the following: Go to Tools E-mail accounts View or change existing directories or address books Outlook Address Book Change. Set your sort order there Restart Outlook. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Terry Bennett" wrote in message ... I am having trouble with the way in which the Address Book displays. What version of Outlook are you using? In 2000, go to
ToolsAccountsaddress books ( i think) and from there you can set which way you wish your default "File As" is with a radio button. If you are in 2003, it would be ToolsEmail AccountsExisting Address booksChange button, then be sure the radio button is set to your desired appearence and OK, all the way to back out. You may need to CLOSE outlook for a few seconds then re-open it to have this change set in. -Monica, CMOS Miami, FL "Terry Bennett" wrote in message ... That seems to have sorted it - many thanks!
