Outlook continually downloads pop3 new mail
 

Hi, Outlook is continually downloading emails from my pop3 accounts as new
emails so I get the same new mails every 10 minutes until I delete them from
the pop3 accounts.

what have I missed in setting up???

Under the account settings | Advanced tab do you have it set to leave a copy
of the messages on the server?

What version of Outlook are you using?

Hi Ben,
It's Outlook 2003
It's a yahoo account and I have ticked the box for not leaving messages on
the server.

my settings are identical to my old laptop which is performing the single
download fine.

You wouldn't believe it (or yeah you probably would) its workin properly now
.. I didnt do anything to correct it, it might have been something wrong at
yahoo.
