Default office 2003 and vista?

Can I run Office 2003 Outlook on my HP that is running Vista?

When I first got the computer, I was told no, that office 2003 would NOT run on a machine using Vista.

Yesterday I installed Office 2003 (someone on another forum told me it was safe) but now still another source is telling me that Outlook will NOT run.

Any advice?

Its all fine, provided you uninstalled any trial version first.
Office, prior to 2003, is not fully compatible with Vista, primarily Outlook
