Hard Drive Gone. Outlook Backup Anywhere?

If I understand this correctly, Outlook Exhange backs-up all email on the
Exchange server. What about Microsoft Outlook? I lost my hard drive and was
wondering if there was anyway to retrieve emails from last week.

Assuming no personal folder in Outlook profile, yes, messages are stored on
Exchange server.

If you use Outlook with POP3 and download all messages to your Outlook
personal folder (PST file), the only way to restore is from the most recent
(good) backup.

If you don't perform regular backups then you deem your data as trivial
or reproducible.

Even if you perform regular backups or Outlook did save backups, what
good would it do if you were saving them on the same hard disk as where
are the data files for Outlook when the hard disk dies? It looks like
you had only 1 hard disk. You don't say what you mean by "gone".
