outlook hangs
 

when trying to load outlook (2000), it hangs and will not start--it just
appears minimized in the task bar, and I cannot maximize or restore.
any ideas?

Have you rebooted the computer?
Try creating a new profile in Control Panel-Mail.

yes,

rebooted several times,
tried "repair option" from install disk,
have not tried new profile--but will.

also, just noticed it is doing the same thing when I try and open a
word document--flashes briefly on the screen, but will not open. when
I switch users on the machine, all is fine--so something is corrupting
word/outlook on one user account only.....
