Outlook 2007 email favourite folders

When I close Outlook 2007 (running on Vista Ultimate x64) I lose some of the
folders from my favourites list. I can 'add to favourite folders' again,
but can't understand why the settings are not retained. Anybody have any
ideas?

Thanks
Allan

I have noticed the same on Vista and XP both using Office 2007.

Anyone any ideas?

It's the same in most of the cases for Xp running Office 2003. I have not
found any solution at the moment.

Maybe this is a simular problem.
I hope this is the right group.
I have Outlook 2007. The favorites folder
used to have items like 'unread or maybe 'unread from contacts.'
At any rate the favorite folder now has 2 things. Sent Items and Inbox.
I know I can drag folders to the favorites, but I can't find either of
the folders I mentioned above. "I want a unread mail, and unread" mail
from contact.
Any ideas?
I appreciate any thing you can tell me.

You are able to Right Click on any of the folders in the tree under
Personal Folders and then select ADD TO FAVORITES FOLDER. They should
stay there if you do it that way, unless Outlook is not shutting
properly (more than one copy open or a wonky Add-on)? You can put
DRAFTS and OUTBOX and UNREAD MAIL into the favorites

I mentioned that I do know about drag and drop to favorites. But I can
not find the two missing entries to drag to favorites.
'unread' & 'unread by contact'

Thanks

My Unread Mail is a sub folder of my Search folder.

Note I didn't say Drag and Drop, I gave you another way by right click.
Not that may make any difference, but that is the prescribed way.

The Unread Mail folder should be a subfolder of "Search Folders". If it's
not there, right-click Search Folders and choose New Search Folder. The
Unread Mail will be the folder created if you accept all defaults in the
dialogue. You can create an Unread Mail from COntactsw in much the same
way, specifying whatever criteria you originally had defined when you
created it before. Afterward, drag them to the Favorites area of the Nav
Pane.
