Scipts for rules in 07
Hi guys, the boss has asked me to find a way to get a script that does the following:
There are about 100 computers and we would like to setup some rules in them separately. Mail from Person here with words in subject/body forwards to these people. Is this possible? Thanks! |

Ok i exported a rule. Now is there anyway to make a script that:
Opens Outlook Open the rule manager Clicks Options Imports Rule from a memory stick (or desktop whatever) Then Ticks the box and presses ok Thanks |

that would use sendkeys - yes its possible.

I looked up send keys...
Is it essentially a macro keystroke recorder? If not could you show me how to use it? Thanks! |

Actually, I forgot Outlook 2007 can create rules programmatically so if all
the users have 2007, that might be the way to go. Check outlookcode.com or the Outlook programming group on this server. (If you aren't accessing this directly from a Microsoft server and the Outlook programming group is not carried by your host, visit http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com to find it.) Sendkeys is needed to import RWZ - this is the only way to get them into older versions. You don't need a 3rd party program - VB, VBA and .Net support sendkeys. I think WSH supports it but I'm not real familiar with WSH and could be wrong. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
